![]() ![]() I just have to get over my distaste for windows because it is the most used OS for office work.Ĭhrome desktop works really well for remoting into a single machine to work remotely. I keep reminding myself that I don't have to love windows. Whenever I open my Task Manager, my CPU hits 100% and my computer locks up to the point I have to force reboot. It seems like 1803 has more issues than vista. Are you sure you didn't upgrade? We'll be doing some testing later this afternoon. I'm being told there are compatibility issues with Teamviewer versions 12/13 and the new Windupdate. When you tested on other machines were you testing from your remote machine, or your host machine? If you tried uninstalling and reinstalling on your remote machine, then maybe try doing the same on your host. I have tested TV on other machines on my local network and it works fine. I don't necessarily agree that remote desktop is a full replacement for Team Viewer. While I love Chrome remote desktop, I do think that it has its uses and Team viewer also has its uses. I recommend you try google chrome browser remote desktop option. I have looked this issue up but only seem to find compatibility issues between versions 12 and 13, but nothing specific to this issue. This issue seems to have started shortly after upgrading to TV 13. (I also know that TV will tunnel on port 80 as well as 443.) I know TV uses port 5398, but I can't verify this port is open, however when I was running TV version 12 on both machines I had no issue. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing TV on the remote machine but I still get this error message even though I know full well it is running, (I just went over and checked out the system.) For testing, I have disabled all firewalls and Internet security settings, but TV will still not connect saying that it is not running on the remote machine. I used Teamviewer to work on my parent's PC and just recently it quit connecting giving me an error message:īoth machines are Windows 10 Pro machines (build 1709) and both are running Teamviewer version 13. ![]()
